Last week, Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara placed a ban on the mobile version of PUBG Corporation's popular battle royale game. It is meant merely for entertainment and should be enjoyed in a healthy and responsible manner.

The Indian state of Gujarat recently banned children from playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, after local authorities decided the shooter was to blame for an upswing in "violent traits" among local kids. "This game is highly addictive and the accused were so engrossed in playing them that they could not even notice our team approaching them", said SOG Rohit Raval to Indian Express. The ban against PUBG has been enforced between March 9 and April 30.

The Rajkot Special operations group caught three youths "red handed" playing the game and charged them under IPC Section 188 for violating the notification. The 10 arrests that were made this week is in line with the official order by the police, but 6 of them have already been granted bail.

In consonance with our endeavor to continue promoting responsible gaming experience, we are working on the introduction of a healthy gameplay system in India to promote balanced, responsible gaming, including limiting play time for under-aged players. "To PUBG MOBILE players, we want to assure you that we are on your side and we will try our best to find a reasonable solution", said PUBG Mobile in a statement released to the media. "The game affects their studies, and also on their behaviour, and development", the notification read explaining the reasons for the ban on the two games.
