Powerball says its jackpot has soared to $495 million, the eighth-largest in the game's history, following the most recent drawing. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). One ticket in Florida matched the five white balls and included the Power Play option, which raised the prize to $2 million. The Power Play multiplier was three.

Another 38 tickets sold nationally won third-prizes for matching four numbers and the Powerball. Thirty of those tickets are worth $50,000 and the other eight are worth $150,000. If there is no jackpot victor, the amount grows larger for the next drawing.

There were no jackpot winners in Saturday's lottery, but more than 36,000 people won prizes in IL after the drawing.
