Odell Beckham Jr. trade has Giants fans questioning their very existence

Odell Beckham Jr. Browns

The imagined look on Eli Manning's face at a Prescott-to-Beckham touchdown to beat NY aside, it's safe to say a sizable contingent of Cowboys fans would have flat-out revolted (at least at first) if the mercurial wideout had been brought to Dallas.

And then, of course, there's the Odell Beckham Jr. trade. If nothing else, trading Beckham hurts the plan to get one more marginally effective season out if Manning.

Jones, who has been with NFL Network since 2012, said this is the Beckham she hopes the world will get to know in Cleveland.

It was clear over the last few seasons that Beckham Jr. had grown exhausted of the Giants and their losing ways.

The NFL stole sports headlines on Monday when Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns in a blockbuster move. That leaves the Browns searching for his replacement at strong safety. Beckham finished the game with 12 targets for five receptions, 38 yards and zero touchdowns. Obviously the Giants weren't going to send him to a division rival. Manning isn't almost what he once was, and keeping him only make the team's direction that much more confusing.

They can still draft an impact player with the 6th pick in this year's draft, but it will now be at the start of a rebuild as opposed to another piece in a potential championship core.

But the Beckham trade removes all doubt. I'm sure your fans are just thrilled with how the team is shaping up for 2019 and beyond.
