Microsoft's popular Halo Xbox games are coming to the PC

Each game will come to PC individually starting with Halo Reach, which is chronologically first in the series.

Halo: Reach will also be added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the first time.

While Reach probably isn't the top Halo game on many lists, the idea of eventually including every iteration in the Collection is an incredible idea. Furthermore, it was also revealed that each title in The Master Chief Collection will be rolling out one by one on PC rather than all at once to ensure that each game has been given enough care before release. Still, it is happening, and will include six games, 67 campaign missions and 120 multiplayer maps (including horde survival and Spartan Ops stuff) between them all.

Here's everything you need to know about Halo MCC on PC. For Xbox Games Pass subscribers, all of Halo Reach will be available for free. After Halo Reach, the games will continue to release in chronological order.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been playing nearly all the Halo for several years on Xbox One.

Gamers will be able to get the PC collection through the Microsoft Store and on Steam.

Halo 1 and 2 were remastered in the Master Chief Collection so players who have only played the PC versions will be in for a treat with the overhauled visuals.

The freedom to choose between the Microsoft Store and Steam is wonderful. After that, fans can expect to see Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, and Halo 4 released. This is something that the community has practically begged for, and Microsoft and 343 Industries granting them their wish should be commended.

Though we are relatively light on details, the fact the Halo games are even coming to PC is absolutely fantastic, and I can't wait for the PC gaming community to finally get their hands on the franchise after being hung out to dry since 2004.
