Those who spoke in the public awareness program were Dr Sarfraz Sarwar, Dr Munawar Khaliq, Diabetologist Dr Sobia Naheed, Dr Fouzia Mushtaq dietician Ms Naila Rasheed and others.

"Kidney disease is increasing at a faster rate than any other noncommunicable disease in the USA, and that's why we're working so hard to ensure people at risk are tested", said LaVarne A. Burton, president and CEO of the American Kidney Fund.

Residents took advantage of free health screenings at the Cayman Islands Hospital Thursday, designated as World Kidney Day.
