Facebook temporarily pulled Warren ads about breaking it up

"Facebook, Amazon, and Google", read the ads, which were placed by the campaign on Friday.

Warren's ads, along with an article posted by her campaign at Medium, focus on the tech giants from a traditional trust-busting viewpoint, citing their monopolistic ability to crush small businesses and any potential competitors through their reach and market domination.

Facebook quickly backed off its removal of several ads from Sen.

Today's big tech companies have too much power - too much power over our economy, our society, and our democracy. Facebook, Amazon and Google.

Klobuchar spoke at an ACL Live event in downtown Austin Saturday telling the audience she does not trust tech companies, adding, "I don't like that they have been saying trust us for so long and we did it". "But in their rise to power, they've bulldozed the competition, used our private information for profit, and tilted the playing field in their favor".

Ads should not represent the Facebook brand in a way that makes it the most distinctive or prominent feature of the creative. The ads were ultimately restored to the site. After Politico reported on the story, however, Facebook quickly worked to restore them. Andy Stone, a company spokesman, said other Warren ads that simply mentioned her proposal to breakup tech giants, like Facebook, weren't removed.

In a statement released to The Hill, Facebook insisted it removed the ads because of improper use of its logo but chose to restore them in "the interest of allowing robust debate".

United States senator Elizabeth Warren thinks Apple has an unfair advantage on the App Store and believes the company should not be in control of the iOS app marketplace. "The logo is reserved for corporate use". The ads featured a video with a thumbnail displaying Facebook's logo. According to POLITICO, the social media giant chose to restore the ads to encourage a "robust debate".

Stone said he did not know how long the advertisements were removed.

Ads linking to Facebook or Instagram content (including Pages, groups, events or sites that use Facebook Login) may make limited reference to "Facebook" or "Instagram" in ad text for the objective of clarifying the destination of the ad.

The email also suggested that this wasn't the only example of Facebook "pulling down an ad that could be seen as critical" and asked supporters to chip in to help the campaign spread the word about the senator's proposal to break up "Big Tech". Thanks for restoring my posts.

"I wanted a social media marketplace that isn't dominated by a single censor", she tweeted Monday night.
