Ariana Grande's New Starbucks Drink Has an Interesting Ingredient

Starbucks unveiled a new drink that was added to its permanent menu the Cloud Macchiato

Ariana Grande is milking her name for all it's worth and officially collaborating with Starbucks on a brand new custom beverage.

The company describes it as a light, fluffy and silky treat, available hot or iced, that customers can enjoy in two flavors: Caramel Cloud Macchiato and Cinnamon Cloud Macchiato.

According to the information on Starbucks' website, the Cloud Macchiato contains ice, milk, brewed espresso, vanilla syrup, a flavoured sauce of choice and the star ingredient - a cloud powder which contains sugar, Arabic gum, egg white powder, rice protein, sea salt, xanthan gum and natural flavouring.

Lester Fabian Brathwaite is a Brooklyn-based writer, editor, bon vivant and all-around sassbag. She also released a perfume in February called Cloud.

The Cloud powder that is used to create this new macchiato is a very special recipe that includes egg whites, which help to give the foam its airy and cloud-like foam.

"The original Spanish beverage combines cinnamon and lemon zest, with a frothy texture which inspired us to reinvent the beverage as a macchiato", said Erin Marinan, from Starbucks research and development team.

When it comes to collaborations between celebs and different companies, the last thing we would have thought of was Starbucks collaborating with Ariana Grande. She also borrowed a Starbucks green apron for the photo shoot.

What we can figure out is that something big is about to happen for all of us Starbucks lovers who also love Ariana Grande.

Now that you know, is it Thank U, Next on the new Cloud Macchiato? In addition to the new beverage, Starbucks will introduce a playlist featuring Grande's songs, and music she's fond of, on International Women's Day.
