Ariana Grande has a new love: Starbucks' Cloud Macchiato

Ariana Grande has sold millions of albums and sold out arenas around the world.

"We've always been fans of Ariana Grande's and we're both fans of Clouds -so we were excited to work with her to celebrate the debut of Cloud Macchiato", according to a Starbucks spokesperson.

Grande has been a past client of Rock Lititz, as have artists like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

So the collaboration with Starbucks new drink featuring a cloud of foam only made sense between the franchise and pop singer.

Which. oh Ms. Grande, that's not how you spell the name of the town.

Now that Tuesday has arrived, we now know what all of the buzz was about and it's less exciting than originally thought. Here's hoping the rehearsals - and the coffee - go down smoothly. Grande has said she is a vegan, so a few people got after her for that. Grande's perfume line is also inspired by clouds, making these two dreamy drinks ideal for the upcoming spring.

The Cloud powder that is used to create this new macchiato is a very special recipe that includes egg whites, which help to give the foam its airy and cloud-like foam.

And you don't have to worry about this drink vanishing once you've already fallen in love with it (unlike some of their specialty drinks on the menu), as this is a permanent addition to their menu.

The suddenly polarizing Cloud is officially available in caramel and cinnamon flavors.

"The original Spanish beverage combines cinnamon and lemon zest, with a frothy texture which inspired us to reinvent the beverage as a macchiato", said Erin Marinan, from Starbucks research and development team.

Brand honchos first teased the Cloud in December: Cold drinks "have contributed to more than 80 percent of our beverage growth over the last two years", Starbucks Chief Operating Officer Rosalind Brewer announced at the annual investors event.
