Pep Guardiola swears on live TV after Benjamin Mendy internet antics

Benjamin Mendy may be in hot water with his manager

Mendy, who is now injured, posted an Instagram story of himself in a auto with the location set at Hong Kong Airport on Friday morning, having posted images of himself in Barcelona just a day earlier.

Guardiola confirmed the 24-year-old is injured at present, his last appearance coming last month in the 1-0 League Cup semi final second leg win over Burton Albion.

Mendy then took to Twitter and claimed it was a joke.

He is not yet fit to return to action ahead of City's clash with Chelsea on Sunday in the Premier League, and as such was given the green light by Guardiola to make a trip to Barcelona and Paris in a bid to regain his fitness.

"I have to install Instagram on my account to control my players because I don't know, really I don't know".

Pep Guardiola was lost for words when he was informed in his press conference on Friday, exclaiming: 'In Hong Kong? He said he was going to spend one day in Paris, but Hong Kong is far away!

Guardiola added that he thought Mendy was in Spain receiving treatment. "It will definitely not be OK if he is in Hong Kong". I didn't know it. F--, he's a lucky guy!

When asked if it would be ok if Mendy had indeed jetted off for an impromptu visit to Asia, Guardiola replied: "No, no, definitely not".

Pep Guardiola was moved to use an expletive on live television when he suddenly became unsure of Benjamin Mendy's whereabouts on Friday afternoon.

"Wow", the City boss responded.
