Kanye West is reportedly the victim of a signature forgery scandal.

German fashion designer Philipp Plein, known for his blingy and skull designs, invites the who's-who of the fashion industry for his show that was supposed to be by the pool.

There were rumours earlier this week that Ye was to perform at the event, before it was shut down by his wife Kim Kardashian on Twitter.

A rep for Plein issued a statement saying, "We regret to confirm that Kanye West will not be performing at our fashion show this Monday..."

He allegedly negotiated a almost million dollar contract for Kanye's performance, including a $900,000 advance, which, according to TMZ, Plein wired to an account associated with the scammer.

Malik Yusef, West's friend and collaborator, was the one who booked the spot according to The Blast. The hip-hop entertainer has shut down buzz about maliciously forging Kanye West's name to secure almost $1 million in a deal with designer Philipp Plein. Unfortunately, no one from the fashion house saw the report last June that West is no longer affiliated with the organization formerly known as Donda's House, now called Art of Culture Incorporated. Six children from the foundation were also expected to appear at the high-brow event, wearing Philipp Plein head to toe. Kanye also received none of the money, reports say.

This will be Plein's first show in 11 years and he is known for having high-profile celebrities perform at his shows. Music... so if the media knows that much, we can assume police hopefully won't be too long in tracking the man down?!
