Kyler Murray brings intrigue to NFL Scouting Combine

Kyler Murray became the second straight Oklahoma quarterback to win a Heisman Trophy. More

Murray, the 2018 Heisman Trophy Award victor, was selected with the ninth overall pick in the MLB Draft last June by the Oakland Athletics organization.

The NFL released its list of the players that have been invited to attend the NFL combine on Thursday, and Clemson is well represented on the list.

What Murray chooses to do over the next few months will tell us a lot about which way he is leaning as there are a number of NFL-related activities which are in direct conflict with his baseball duties.

Murray, the ninth overall pick by the A's in the 2018 MLB Draft, hasn't provided clarity on which sport he'll ultimately choose. His attendance at the combine in Indianapolis means he will have to leave camp to work out for National Football League scouts. While best known for testing drills like the 40-yard dash, the combine is much more than that from the interviews to updated medical evaluations.

Murray is one of the top prospects of the 2019 NFL Draft, even though he's already committed to playing for the A's.

Needless to say, we'll have our insight on the specific names to watch for the Jags as we get closer to the start of the combine, which begins Tuesday, on February 26.
