Jeff Bezos Says Tabloid Tried to Blackmail Him Over Dick Pics

In it, he alleges that American Media Inc., the parent company of the National Enquirer, attempted to extort him into intervening a Washington Post investigation into how the tabloid acquired intimate texts between Bezos and his lover Lauren Sanchez, which they published last month.

It does not appear that AMI demanded any money from Bezos - only that he call off his investigation and issue a statement saying the coverage wasn't political.

Once Bezos tweeted a link to the post, it was only a matter of time before the dick pic commentary began. "I prefer to stand up, roll this log over, and see what crawls out".

David Pecker, the head of National Enquirer parent company American Media Inc., is a longtime friend of Trump.

"Rather than capitulate to extortion and blackmail, I've made a decision to publish exactly what they sent me, despite the personal cost and embarrassment they threaten", Bezos wrote in the post, which was entitled "No thank you, Mr. Pecker" and included copies of emails from AMI.

Bezos noted that the email "got my attention", but said that "any personal embarrassment AMI could cause me takes a back seat because there's a much more important matter involved here".

The blog post came on the same day that Gavin de Becker, Bezos' security adviser, told The Washington Post that he is investigating how text messages between Bezos and former TV anchor and now-paramour Sanchez were obtained and reported by the National Enquirer.

"They said they had more of my text messages and photos that they would publish if we didn't stop our investigation", Bezos wrote in his blog post on Medium.com. He's wearing either tight black cargo trousers or shorts - and his semi-erect manhood is penetrating the zipper of said garment.

"If in my position I can't stand up to this kind of extortion", he wrote, "how many people can?"

And in his Medium post, Bezos, who also owns The Washington Post, pointed to AMI and David Pecker's previous cooperation with Trump - including payments made to suppress negative stories, now under investigation by federal prosecutors.

Bezos copy and pasted an email allegedly from Dylan Howard, AMI's COO, days after that initial threat was made, which claims that they have obtained nine lewd photos of Bezos and Sanchez in addition to a "below the belt selfie - otherwise colloquially known as a 'd*ck pick'". "And if you don't do X quickly, I will report the embarrassing information".

The alleged extortion raises questions among some legal observers about whether AMI and its chief executive David Pecker have violated a cooperation agreement AMI made a year ago with federal prosecutors in connection with a $150,000 hush-money payment given to Karen McDougal, the Playboy model who claims she had an affair with President Donald Trump.

This whole story, as Bezos would put it, is complexifying my brain.

"It shows how complicated and risky it is to make an agreement with National Enquirer", Levenson said.
