Heads Up, Stephen King Fans: The New PET SEMATARY Trailer Is Here

If creepy cats and creepy kids send shivers up your spine, you might want to avoid the new trailer for Pet Sematary.

In addition to Clarke and Lithgow, the new version of the film also stars Amy Seimetz, Jete Laurence and Hugo and Lucas Lavoie.

Following the short teaser released in October, Paramount Pictures has unveiled a longer trailer for Pet Sematary.

Unfortunately, humans don't come back the same. While settling in, the family is made aware of an eerie pet sematary located near their house.

This latest installment was directed by Kevin Kolsh and Dennis Widmyer and centers on the family of Dr. Louis Creed, played this time by Zero Dark Thirty and Terminator Genisys actor Jason Clarke.

Secondly, looks like this Pet Sematary will be taking some liberties with the source material - if I'm understanding what we just saw properly, it's Ellie Creed who gets killed and brought back to life, rather than Gage.

They quickly learn this is a bad idea, with the official plot synopsis teasing it sets off "a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences".

The movie is based on the 1983 novel by acclaimed horror author Stephen King.

The bestselling fiction book which was already adapted once into a movie in 1989, with director Mary Lambert at the helm.

Pet Semetary is expected to be released on April 5 and will make its world premiere at the SXSW film festival.
