Aston Martin Will Unveil Its Fully Electric Lagonda SUV In Geneva

Aston Martin Lagonda

But the Aston Martin Lagonda Vision concept that debuted at last year's Geneva show featured a set of electric motors and solid-state batteries for a range of 400 miles on a charge. Serving as their ultra-luxury division exclusively powered by electricity, the Lagonda brand is a step-up in opulence that comes with zero-emissions, more stylish designs and self-driving capability.

The Vantage is shaping up to be particularly eye-catching due to its Cosmos Orange paint from Q by Aston Martin as well as a selection of carbon fiber detailing and orange graphics across the exterior and interior.

"It will be like no other SUV to drive, so its looks have to reflect that new reality and to serve as pathfinder to a future in which the most desirable and prestigious automobiles still have a place", Aston Martin design boss Marek Reichman said of the design in 2018.

THE LAST Lagonda rolled off the production line 55 years ago but the British luxury marque (and Aston Martin sister company) is set to rise phoenix-like at next month's Geneva Motor Show, with a new pure-electric auto. Like the original Lagonda, it was an angular affair, dividing opinion but never relenting when it came to luxury or, indeed, power. It also allows Aston to develop electric cars while keeping its high-performance gasoline cars separate. While the Roller uses a massive twin-turbo V12, the Lagonda will be entirely electric. Its face looks similar to what we saw in a sketch Aston Martin created previous year previewing Lagonda's first production model. What's more? The vehicle by Lagonda will not only be attractive but also environment-friendly and boast autonomous driving tech. Because like that Vision Concept, this All-Terrain is a fully-electric luxury vehicle.

What we do know, however, is that this is the auto that will officially launch the Lagonda brand back into showrooms.

The new teaser is the only news from the brand about the Lagonda since the reveal of the Lagonda Vision Concept in Geneva previous year that sought to integrate as many cool features and technologies into the Lagonda before being trimmed down to a real production version of the auto.
