Arsenal can seal Premier League top four spot - Unai Emery

Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan made a winning return to the Arsenal side on Saturday, February 9 as the Gunners beat Huddersfield 2-1 at the John Smith's Stadium.

But Huddersfield didn't let their heads drop and were even able to pull one goal back in the dying embers of the match, forcing Arsenal defender Sead Kolašinac to put the ball into his own net in added time.

Arsenal are one point and two places below Manchester United, while they are level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan nearly marked his return from seven weeks out with a foot injury with a goal but he could not beat goalkeeper Ben Hamer at the end of a flowing Arsenal move.

Huddersfield nearly replied in the 50th minute but Adama Diakhaby's driven effort from a low Kongolo cross was saved comfortably by Bernd Leno.

What does it mean?

He said: "It is game 26 and there is a one-point difference between Manchester United and us".

Huddersfield's Mathias Zanka Jorgensen and Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette.

The absence of Ozil and Ramsey created a spot for Mkhitaryan and the Armenia worldwide was lively, if understandably a little rusty, on his return to action.

"The players here are showing great desire and you have to have that determination and desire to go out there and keep trying to perform".

At the heart of the problem is their defensive record - Arsenal remain the only team in the league without an away clean sheet.

And they certainly tried, and in fact had more possession over the 90 minutes at 55%, and the sad truth is that that they were let down by the lack of finishing and confidence in front of goal.

Former Premier League shot-stopper Shaka Hislop says he would overhaul the squad at Chelsea rather than change managers, to make the Blues title contenders again.

Huddersfield have never been short of spirit, at least, and they forced Arsenal on to the back foot as they searched for their first goal since January 2.
