Aaron Ramsey signs bumper £400,000-a-week contract with Juventus

Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has signed with Juventus for next season, with the Serie A champions having announced the Welshman will join the club in the summer on a four-year deal.

Ramsey's current Arsenal deal will expire at the end of the season and contract talks between the two parties broke down in the latter stages of 2018 as the Gunners were unprepared to meet the midfielder's demands.

"In exchange for the player's registration, Juventus will incur additional charges for € 3.7 million, payable by 10 July 2019".

With that in mind, it's not that hard to see, despite reported approaches from Paris St-Germain and Barcelona, why Ramsey has chosen to leave the north London club for Italy.

Ramsey, 28, issued his own statement via Instagram. You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I have encountered during my time at the club.

The 28-year-old Wales worldwide will arrive in northern Italy on July 1 with his contract running until June 30, 2023.

"I will continue to give 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin".

Ramsey began his career at Cardiff City, making it his first team debut in 2007 before arriving at Arsenal in July 2008.
