Xiaomi cuts prices of four smartphones, including Redmi Note 6 in India

On Bluetooth SIG's website, the Redmi Note 7 has been certified under two model numbers - M1901F7G and M1901F7H.

The back of the smartphone is also covered with 2.5D curved glass and it actually looks quite handsome in Fantasy Blue and Twilight Gold color gradients. Moving onto the cameras, the Redmi Note 7 has a 48MP primary sensor on the rear side which works in tandem with a 5MP secondary depth sensor.

Diving into the specifications, the Redmi Note 7 flaunts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display on the front with a 2.5D curved glass on top.

Speaking of horsepower, the Redmi Note 7 is powered with the aforementioned Snapdragon 660, which is the same chipset found in one of our 2018's favourite devices, the Nokia 7 Plus. The 3GB RAM variant will now be priced at Rs 9,999, down from its launch price of Rs 11,499, and the 4GB RAM version will cost Rs 11,999 instead of Rs 13,499.

Xiaomi has finally unveiled its first phone under the new budget sub-brand, Redmi - the Redmi Note 7. Users also have the option to expand the storage up to 256 GB via microSD card.

The company's new Redmi Note 7 is a low-end Android phone focused on markets like India and China. The 64GB storage variant with 4GB and 6GB of RAM is priced at CNY 1199 (approx INR 11,999) and CNY 1399 (approx INR 13,999) respectively. Another good news is that the 3.5mm headphone jack and infrared blaster are also retained. This will enable 9V/2A charging options, which Lei Jun said will top up the phone from 0 to 100 in 1 hour 43 minutes.
