Willian: My future is at Chelsea

Chelsea predicted XI GFX

Willian has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Chelsea but he was adamant he wanted to stay at the west London club.

The 30-year-old showed his value to Chelsea by scoring his side's victor against Newcastle to give Blues a six-point cushion over fifth-placed Arsenal in the race for Champions League qualification. To be fair we can not complain about what the players were doing on the pitch.

"Today Jorginho was in trouble and on the bench there wasn't a player for that position so I need a player for that position".

The 30-year-old's future was discussed following Chelsea's 2-1 Premier League victory over Newcastle United on Saturday, a match in which he scored the winning goal.

The result leaves Chelsea just a point behind third place Tottenham, who have a game in hand, while Newcastle will end the weekend in the relegation zone.

Once again, Sarri stubbornly stuck to his experiment with Eden Hazard as Chelsea's central striker despite the Belgian star's dislike of the tactic.

When asked about Willian's contract, he added: "Maybe he has 12 years of contract, I don't know the detail".

Hudson-Odoi then replaced Pedro for the final minutes to make his second Premier League appearance of the season and received a warm reception from the home supporters. "You are trying to let me speak about something I don't know".

In the evening kick off, Chelsea were pegged back after Pedro's opener by Ciaran Clark's powerful header, before Willian's strike earned the Blues all three points. "For us, he's fundamental".

And it was his replacement Pedro who opened the scoring on 10 minutes.

Willian's superb goal restored the lead in the second half and was enough to give Sarri's side the points.

'I scored a good goal. We need to improve in the mental reaction because after the first goal something happened. "In the last five matches for us it really was very hard to score", he said.

"We stopped playing for 20 minutes".
