Rep. Ocasio-Cortez's campaign fined for not providing workers' comp coverage

"The so-called champion of workers, when given her own responsibility, is not following the law".

And one House Democrat, who shares Ocasio-Cortez's progressive ideology added: "She needs to decide: Does she want to be an effective legislator or just continue being a Twitter star?"

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, who is extremely active on social media, has yet to respond to the embarrassing report.

AOC unsheathed the quote from a character created by the British anarchist author in response to a Politico piece about older-guard Democrats' frustration with the outspoken new member of their House.

"I think that there's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right", she told host Anderson Cooper. "And that is because they had to be center-left to win some of those competitive swing districts that they took from Republicans", Lieberman said.

An unnamed Democratic strategist told the Daily News that the discovery was a bad look for Ocasio-Cortez and her campaign, especially when she tries to relate to the average American worker.

Democratic leaders were also frustrated that Ocasio-Cortez criticized their new set of House rules on Twitter in the first week of the new Congress, Politico reported.

Ocasio-Cortez was just 10 years old when Lieberman ran for vice president along with Gore. "My life, and just the campaign's life, changed overnight", she said during an interview. But others believe Ocasio-Cortez is tweeting her way to an ineffectual career if she continues to treat her own party as the enemy.

"In private conversations with Ocasio-Cortez over the past few months, Velázquez counseled Ocasio-Cortez against targeting her Democratic colleagues in future elections", Politico reported.
