Oscars will go on without Kevin Hart or any host

Kevin Hart says he's not hosting the Oscars this year after suggesting he'd reconsider

"Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community", the Night School star said in the third person.

Kevin Hart officially stated that he will not host the Oscars this year.

In his one-on-one with co-host Michael Strahan, Hart emphasized he's not considering doing the Oscars and wants to move forward with his career.

Hart had already apologized for the jokes, but said he would not continue to apologize for them.

The 39-year-old Hart repeatedly reiterated to Strahan on Wednesday that he is "over" talking about his old tweets and said there would be "no more conversation about it". He told Variety, "The moment came and it was a blessing and I was excited at the opportunity and I still am".

"I'm not giving no more explanation of who I am", he added. "I know I don't have a homophobic bone in my body", the comedian told host Ellen DeGeneres. If you choose to not believe me then that's on you....

The virus of political correctness and woke sermonizing that has wormed its way into the Academy Awards for the past decade has all but turned Hollywood's most prestigious awards show into a level of laughingstock that not even the Golden Globes has stooped to. "It's hard to predict what can happen ... right now I don't have the time". "I hear everything you're saying, but I want everybody to know I'm done with it". I've addressed it. I've spoken on it. I've done it, I've done it several times, I've tweeted it, I said it when I went on Ellen, I said it on my radio show.

Earlier this week, he was urged by U.S. chat show host Ellen DeGeneres to reconsider his decision to stand down from the Oscars, prompting speculation that he may change his mind. I shouldn't have to prove who I am. If you don't want to accept people for their change, then where are you trying to get to the equal part?

He later said that if he was ready for the Oscars and would have brought some heat. "I was going to come out swinging, I promise you".

"It's always been a huge relief to me that after Snow White, the Oscars got their act together and avoided any further controversy and embarrassment", Lowe sarcastically said to the Times after asked whether or not the Academy learned its lesson.
