Mortal Kombat 11's cover art has been revealed

The Double Take Review | MORTAL KOMBAT X

However, in more recent years the Mortal Kombat series has become known for something else. weird and wonderful guest fighters. According to The Nerd Mag, Rousey is rumored to be at the livestream presentation for the Mortal Kombat 11 reveal presentation next Thursday where she will be introduced as the voice for Sonya Blade.

Now that the bloody combat will be open on April 23, Ed Boon made a decision to spark more interest toward the game by revealing Mortal Kombat 11's cover art. The art features the franchise's most-notable character Scorpion wielding a Kunai in one hand with his other outstretched. Scorpion was also featured in the Game Awards trailer, where he faced off against Raiden, who killed the Netherrealm assassin only for another Scorpion to appear and kill Raiden. It is now "in" to bring back what was once "out" however, Mortal Kombat has always been pretty cool.

Pre-ordering Mortal Kombat 11 will give players access to Shao Kahn, the villain of Mortal Kombat 9, just as Goro was the pre-order bonus in Mortal Kombat X and Darkseid in Injustice 2. A GameStop Italy listing for the fighting game may have revealed some key features, including new fatalities, something called a "GoreTech" system and a new graphics engine.

This comes hot on the heels of a special reveal event taking place in L.A. and London next week on January 17 where NetherRealm Studios will be showing off the first glimpse of gameplay, character reveals, story and hands-on opportunity for anyone lucky enough to be in attendance!

What are you expecting to see at the community event next week? It will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms. You can see the full image in Boon's tweet attached at the bottom of the page.
