Regardless of the awkward moment with Kidman, Malek had a pretty big night at the 2019 Golden Globes, with the actor taking home the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.

'I've known her many years despite what it may seem from that video, ' laughed Rami after he was shown the video for the first time.

"I don't think it goes close to being the best film for the year", Quinn told Kate and Quarters this morning.

The 37-year-old was shown the viral clip during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night and he found the amusing side of their awkward encounter. "I have a feeling this is probably haunting me on the internet right now".

However, he noted that he "got love" from the Australian actress' husband Keith Urban, who is a "massive Queen fan".

But while the film has found itself the talk of numerous awards ceremonies already, and recently scored a huge night at the Golden Globes, it hasn't fared too well with critics.

Queen fans and audience members didn't agree with this assessment and watched the movie in droves anyway, earning it £583 million at the worldwide box office.

Queen's Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody continues to exceed expectations, winning two Golden Globes Sunday night.

The film will include lyrics to avoid any embarrassing "devil for a sideboard" moments as the audience sings along with star Rami Malek. "To you Brian May, to you Roger Taylor for ensuring that authenticity and inclusivity exists in the music and in the world and all of us".

"I love you, you lovely man. This is for and because of you gorgeous", Malek concluded.
