CBS' "Criminal Minds" will end its run after the upcoming, 10-episode Season 15.

Messer, who has worked on the series since Season 1, revealed that her vision of how to end the series has changed over the years.

The final 10 episodes will reportedly air during the 2019-2020 television season. Next, get ready for a momentous ride: "Season 15 will be our epic final season".

CBS" EVP of current programs, Amy Reisenbach said that "It is the quintessential CBS hit.

According to Deadline, the network has decided that it will use the abridged season to wrap up all the series' loose ends before sending them off into the sunset.

The cast of the of the CBS crime drama is now working on their 14th season, which will be 15 episodes long. ABC Studios produces in association with CBS Television Studios.

Criminal Minds' Season 14 finale airs Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10/9c on CBS.

As fans know, the show centers around FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, dealing with profiling criminals while investigating frightful crimes.

The decision to pick up a final installment was made just months ago when longtime executive producer/showrunner Erica Messer was writing the final episodes of Season 14 and asked the powers that be whether to make the ending a season finale with a cliffhanger or a series finale. Over that time, its ensemble cast has included Mandy Patinkin, Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Lola Glaudini, Paget Brewster, Aisha Tyler, and many others.
