Craig McLachlan

The 53 year old actor rose to global fame from his appearance in Home and Away and Neighbours.

Victoria Police confirmed to the ABC that sex crime detectives charged a 53-year-old NSW man with one count of common law assault, eight counts of indecent assault, and one count of attempted indecent assault.

That same month, McLachlan was ousted from The Rocky Horrow Show with producers The Gordon Frost Organisation announcing it is "not appropriate" for him to continue in light of the sexual assault and harassment allegations against him.

The actor denied all allegations at the time, claiming they were "perhaps made for financial reasons".

Craig has been a prominent face on stages and screens in Australia, with a career spanning decades.

A statement from police has stated that he has been charged on summons to appear at Melbourne Magistrate's Court on February 8, 2019.

He also released the song Mona (I Need You Baby) and toured the United Kingdom and Europe with his band Check 1-2.

He is seeking damages of $6.5 million in the Supreme Court of New South Wales state over reports he bullied and indecently assaulted Whelan Browne and two other female cast members during the stage production.
