Adam Gase Hired As Jets Head Coach

Report Former Packers head coach Mike Mc Carthy only considering Jets job

As of now, there are also still jobs open with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals. He went 23-25 in three seasons. He was sacked after going 7-9 this season.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jeff Darlington of ESPN says to expect Gase to bring in Dowell Loggains, who was his coordinator in Miami when the pair led the Dolphins to points per game rankings of 17th, 28th and 26th in the league from 2016-2018.

He'll replace Todd Bowles, who was sacked hours after the season concluded.

Green Bay Packers former head coach Mike McCarthy has not found a new team for the 2019 season, and he has told NFL.com reporter Tom Pelissero he will sit out next season. The 40-year-old coach worked as an assistant with Detroit, San Francisco and Denver before being promoted to offensive coordinator by the Broncos in 2013 and drawing rave reviews from Peyton Manning.

But according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, McCarthy doesn't want to be considered for any other head coaching vacancy other than the Jets'.

Gase, 40, has a reputation as a quarterback guru.

McCarthy was reportedly heavily interested in landing the Jets' job.

Kingsbury was hired Tuesday as the Arizona Cardinals' head coach.

Adam Gase has been hired by the New York Jets as their new head coach, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
