The company has posted a poster revealing the launch date on the official Weibo account of Samsung mobile.

From the teaser image that Huawei released, it seems like the company will launch a new bezel-less smartphone next month.

Huawei and Samsung are both expected to launch brand-new smartphones that feature circular display cutouts. Some fresh reports have now spotted a Samsung invite for a launch event on December 10.

Interestingly, Huawei has also announced that it will be launching a device, the Nova 4, that also features a punch-hole display on December 17 - a whole week after Samsung's launch.

Huawei might be the first to release a notch free smartphone since December 17 is less than two weeks away but another giant could soon follow. Huawei Nova 4's unique feature is that it has a display hole for the selfie camera. Samsung calls it an Infinity-O display, which will replace the notch with a hole within the display to host the selfie camera and other sensors. In this, we can see Huawei Nova 4 has a striking resemblance to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10, if we go by its leaked renders, too. The listing reveals the phone to be running Android 8.0 Oreo. Some recent leaks had also suggested that Samsung will employ the Chinese display manufacturer BOE to manufacture the LCD display panel for the Galaxy A8s. Backing up the smartphone will be a 3,400mAh battery unit. A Type-C USB port will be placed on the bottom of the phone, along with the phone's loudspeaker, while we still do not know whether Samsung plans to include da 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom or not.

The Galaxy A8s will be a mid-range smartphone, and if rumors are to be believed, it will be fueled by one of Qualcomm's mid-range chips, the Snapdragon 710.

Speculation is rife that the rear of the Galaxy A8s will be home to a triple camera setup very similar to the Galaxy A7 (2018).
