Stranger Things 3 Will Be Getting a Retro Tie-In Game

Stranger Things 3: The Game Trailer World Premiere

On Thursday night at the 2018 Game Awards, the Duffer brothers surprised everyone by announcing the release of Stranger Things: The Game. Stranger Things is a Netflix production. But there's some good news - it does indeed live on, though with a completely different retro-style title.

Stranger Things season 3 doesn't even have a premiere date yet, but there's already a video game on its way based on the upcoming season of the beloved Netflix show.

Much like the third season, there's now no release date for the game, although it's reportedly set to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, PC, and mobile devices.

If you liked that, there's a Stranger Things game coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The video game allows you to play as the characters from Stranger Things, including pixelated versions of Chief Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin). It's just a matter of seeing what settles over the next few months. Check out the trailer for the game below.

There's a new game based on Stranger Things in the works!

Variety is reporting the retro-style game will follow the events of season three, and it's coming out some time next year.
