Red Dead Online allows players to change their style and appearance whenever they want to but you will have to go to certain locations first.

"Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and its multiplayer experience, Red Dead Online, will come with exciting PlayStation 4 benefits right from launch", the message from Sony PlayStation explains.

We have been playing, setting up our character and venturing into the map. But what happens in Red Dead Online when you keep getting killed over and over again?

Red Dead Online, the multiplayer accompaniment to Red Dead Redemption 2, is finally live, and - surprise! - it's a lot like Grand Theft Auto Online. Players that logged time on the launch day will get to test it out on the 28th of November while the those that played the game on the 29th of October will get to try it out on the 29th of November.

The beta began rolling out for owners of the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 yesterday, and will eventually make its way to everyone who has a copy of the critically acclaimed cowboy-'em-up.

To make sure that servers aren't overwhelmed given the amount of interest in what Red Dead Online has to offer, the studio is handling the release of beta access in a very particular way. Specific free roam missions will also become available depending on honor state, and a new multi-part series of co-operative missions, called "A Land of Opportunities", will be available exclusively through Red Dead Online. These challenges are much like those found in the main game and include categories like Hunting, Combat, Survivalist and so on. Then it's the turn of those who played it between 26 October and 29 October. Sudden death will trigger in the event of a tie: whoever gets the first kill wins. However, unless you want to purchase some gold bars in-game, they could take a long time to unlock. Capture a territory to start racking up points: the team with most points wins - or you can win outright by capturing every territory. There are also races you can undertake on your horse. After the three minutes is up, you are back to the regular Red Dead Online kill rules.
