New Post-Apocalyptic Far Cry Game Teased For Game Awards Reveal

Ubisoft Teased A New ‘Far Cry’ Game Set In A Post Apocalyptic Hope County

Naturally, we watch it every year.

As per the official Far Cry 5 Twitter account something is coming that looks like it clearly takes place after the main game, possibly "years" later based on the voiceover. You can check out the new teaser trailer for the next Far Cry, below. Teasing a full announcement for The Game Awards tomorrow night (which Alice Prime will be burning the midnight oil to cover), the trailer below gives us a little taste of the things to come.

Publishers and developers alike tend to premiere their upcoming games there, and Ubisoft is planning to be one of them. As you may remember, Far Cry 5 ended in Hope County essentially blowing out, so it looks like that could be continued.

Far Cry fans will instantly realise that not only does the initial setting seem to be the same as Far Cry 5 but that the game had a surprise ending where the religious cult set off a nuclear attack.

It's worth noting that none of the branding or wording in this trailer specifically mentions Far Cry 5. With Ubisoft already releasing series spin-offs like Primal and Blood Dragon, it's fair to assume that this mysterious new title will be more in line with one of those. Were you feeling it, or not so much?
