MARVEL Strikes Deal with NINTENDO For Exclusive RPG Game

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3- the gang's all here

The Nintendo Switch video game system is about to get a lot more heroic. Nintendo made the announcement with a trailer shown during The Game Awards in Los Angeles.

While the game seems to focus on the Infinity Stones and the MCU cast, we also see some X-Men like Wolverine and Sentinels in the trailer. It won't be developed by the same team, but will instead come under the supervision of Team Ninja, developers of Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and Nioh.

As its title suggests, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order revolves around the titular villain team headed by the mad Titan Thanos. This time, players may choose the traditional top-down perspective or a more zoomed in, "heroic" view. There are numerous ways to play the game - online through the multiplayer mode, offline via local wireless, or by passing on one of the Joy-Con controllers to a friend. With another pair of Joy-Con (sold separately), four players can team up on one system.

A decade after the release of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, the series is planned to return next year and most surprising of all, it will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.

There's a new Avengers (and X-Men, and Guardians of the Galaxy) game coming to the Switch, in the form of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order. "Thanks to our partnership with Marvel, the fate of the Marvel Universe will literally be in the hands of Nintendo Switch players, whether they're at home or on the go".
