Instagram adds feature to share photos, videos with fewer people

Instagram вводит контроль публикаций

Instagram close friends feature is introduced with the intention that sometimes there are a few pictures we don't want to share with everyone.

Create a list of close friends in the app and share their stories only with them since November 30.

The way you can check this new feature out is by going to your profile and tapping on "Close Friends" on the side menu. When you share a piece of content to your Instagram Story, you also now have the option of sharing it with just your "Close Friends". There you can create your own close friend's list and to get added there no one can send you request so that you can be comfortable.

Facebook has been focusing on Instagram, as the social networking website's core platform has come under fire from regulators pushing to improve information safeguards for individual privacy, to combat addiction to social media, and to stop misinformation or fake news. Creators who use the tool will be able to respond to fans who interact with their stories, and creator responses will be seen by anyone who comes across the story. It starts rolling out to users Friday.

Capture or select the media you want to share as stories.

Ever since Instagram launched its Snapchat-like Stories feature in 2016, the Facebook-owned company hasn't rested on its laurels. Additionally, they'll see a green "Close Friend" badge on the story when they actually view it. "With Close Friends, you have the flexibility to share more personal moments with a smaller group that you choose".

Green color will appear around the photo of the author of the story. Stein said Instagram wanted to keep things simple and observed that when there are multiple lists, people don't tend to use them. It helps to recognize which objects are depicted in the photos.

Accessibility Improvements: We are automatically adding alternative text to photos on Feed, Explore and Profile so people can hear what's in the photo.
