Hootie & The Blowfish, 'Weird-Al' To Play The 2019 Grandstand

After the release of their most recent studio album, 2005's "Looking for Lucky," the band took a break from regular touring in 2008 while Rucker pursued his successful country music solo career, which has yielded five albums, eight No. 1 singles and a Grammy for his song "Wagon Wheel".

The band announced Monday they are releasing a new album and will be going on a 44-city tour this spring.

Hootie and the Blowfish was founded in the 1980s by Darius Rucker, guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim "Soni" Sonefeld while the four were students at the University of SC.

Hootie & the Blowfish will be coming to the Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 7:30 PM. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Monday, 3 December at 10 a.m. PT until Thursday, 6 December at 10 p.m. PT through Citi's Private Pass program.

"Having those shows at fraternity houses, clubs and dive bars under our belt prepared us for success to a degree", Felber said.

The band announced on Twitter they will hit the road with Barenaked Ladies next summer for the "Group Therapy Tour". "We've never stopped being a band".
