‘Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled’ HD Remaster Announced

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Speeds Onto The Switch In June Next Year

Next up is Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled.

Hold your loved ones close; the greatest kart game of all time is being remastered.

Something I managed to notice during the reveal trailer was the apparent ability to choose your karts.

Featuring all of the original game modes, characters, tracks, power-ups, weapons, and the same, classic controls, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled will also include online play and leaderboards, as well as those lovely, chunky new graphics.

While it's fairly similar to the latter, the game's adventure mode was perhaps the key difference - seeing players taken on a more story-driven single-player outing with a hub world reminiscent of 1997's Diddy Kong Racing. Sane Trilogy. And there's a pretty good chance we could see Beenox add new levels down the road, though DLC hasn't been confirmed yet.

Rumors had been floating around that a remaster of the very popular Crash Team Racing would be announced soon.

The standard edition doesn't have any fancy collectibles or digital pack-ins, but the game is all you really need anyway.

In the United States, the standard version of the game will be priced at $39.99 and the Nitros Oxide version will cost $59.99. Players who do not purchase the Nitros Oxide Edition can earn the Nitros Oxide character and Oxide's Hovercraft kart by completing some of the fiercest challenges in the Adventure Mode.

It'll be coming to your mate's PlayStation 4 so you don't have to actually buy it yourself on June 21 next year, but, BUT, it appears that unlike the game's predecessor, Nitro-Fueled won't be limited to Sony's flagship console as there are options to preorder both on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
