CNN’s New York Office Evacuates Over Bomb Threat

Fire alarm bells rang out through the building announcing it was being evacuated.

In a tweet, CNN's Brian Stelter said the office had been evacuated and that CNN was airing taped programming.

"The NYPD has now given us the all clear, and employees have been permitted to return to the building,"CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said in an internal memo to staff".

All the bombs targeted people Trump sees as enemies, and CNN itself received a bomb.

Police are investigating a fake bomb threat at the building housing CNN's New York City offices.

Police said the building was evacuated and building security did a preliminary search.

"At 10:07pm a bomb threat was called into the Time Warner Center and the building was evacuated", the NYPD wrote on Twitter. Police units then swept the building with the NYPD bomb squad on standby. It is unclear whether the threat was directed at CNN or another location close by.

According to police, someone phoned in a threat stating there were five bombs placed throughout Time Warner Center.

The network's bureau in the Time Warner Center was evacuated in October after a package with an explosive device, addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan, was discovered, officials said. Sayoc, who was tracked down to Florida and arrested on October 26, faces life in prison for sending at least 16 mail bombs in total.
