Chelsea set to make move for Fekir

EPL: Sarri advises Chelsea to sell Morata for 31-year-old striker

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Gonzalo Higuaín and Álvaro Morata are poised to be involved in a swap deal after a poor start to the 2018/19 for both strikers in their respective leagues.

Sarri is reportedly keen on a prolific striker as Morata and Olivier Giroud have struggled in this season, while the coach worked with Higuain during his time at Napoli.

And though Sarri remains full of admiration for his former charge, he would not be drawn on whether he could be about to try and force a reunion with the 31-year-old.

Fekir has just 18 months left on his current contract with Lyon and the French club want the midfielder to decide whether he will sign a new deal.

Higuain, in that regard, fills the void perfectly as he is not only a renowned striker who has an exceptional scoring record, but is also someone who can bring a wealth of experience, having played for some of the top clubs in Europe.

Chelsea will look to cement their position in the top four when they take on Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

And the veteran coach admits that he is pleased with how well his team has managed the adjustment in tactical approach and suggested fans have not seen the last of Hazard as a focal point. "We have to see". "He is a wonderful player, you have to let him be free on the pitch".

Chelsea are looking forward to the January transfer window as an opportunity to refurbish their front line which has come under fire for its lack of goals this season.
