Xiaomi bringing Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 Pro to PH

Xiaomi Redmi 6 64GB Storage Model Redmi 6 Pro Available on Open Sale in India

The only difference between the older Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S, and the new Mi Mix 3 is the camera software. "It features a 6.21" AMOLED display with a notch that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. You can clearly see the NFC sensor, the large carbon-fibre wrapped battery cell and even the Snapdragon chip at the top of the phone.

Xiaomi, the world's fourth-ranked smartphone maker, entered Britain on Thursday with the worldwide debut of its flagship Mi 8 Pro, which it hopes will win fans in a market dominated by Samsung and Apple.

Devices like the Redmi 5 Plus, Mi Max, Mi Mix, and Redmi Note 4 will not be receiving any major updates, although patches will continue. On the camera front, the Mi 8 Pro packs an ultra light-sensitive AI camera on the rear panel.

Unlike the Mi 8 Explorer Edition, it doesn't come with 3D face unlock, however, it uses the same Infrared Face Unlock like the standard Mi 8.

The Mi 8 Pro comes with a rather tiny 3,000mAh battery but it does support Quick Charge 4+ charging via USB-C.

On another hand, the 6GB/128 variant of the phone will be made available exclusively at the physical Mi Authorized Stores for RM 1299 on 10 November. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. We've also produced a tips and tricks guide to help you get started with your Mi 8 Pro.

The Mi 8 Lite features a 12MP f/1.9 main camera and a secondary 5MP sensor for depth of field effects. Unfortunately, it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack like its bigger Mi 8 siblings. The last batch of Mi 8 Lites (in that bluey/purple shade) go on sale at noon tomorrow. The update also restores portable hotspot to be turned off after saving new password. However, the Xiaomi Flagship Store on Lazada will begin offering it on 11 November instead.
