Toyota Corolla sedan's new face teased, debuts this Thursday

After the Toyota Corolla Hatchback, Toyota is now nearly ready to release the Sedan version and they are starting things off with the release of the new teaser which many fans are saying is extra since it is showing us what we already know.

Earlier, Toyota has already introduced versions of the Corolla in bodies sedan and hatchback, which will replace the model of the Auris.

The Corolla sedan is likely to strongly resemble the hatch model. What makes the sedan slightly different however, comes courtesy of what appears to be new corner lights mounted on the front bumper.

The new Corolla five-door has been lauded for its hot hatch styling, to the point where fans are now calling on Toyota's GR racing division to produce a performance version, something that a few Toyota execs have hinted at.

The interiors of those variants likely guided the design of the new Corolla sedan as well; we'll be on familiar ground there as well. The only mystery with the sedan's design will be the rear, which sadly has not been teased. 2020 Toyota Corolla will also benefit from the company's latest infotainment system.

Like the hatch, the next-gen Corolla sedan will get a 126kW/205Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and come with a six-speed manual and new CVT auto transmission.

The new Toyota Corolla will be pitted against the upcoming new Honda Civic and the upgraded Hyundai Elantra. The headlights are taken from the hatchback variant that debuted this past summer, which leads us to believe we won't be seeing any revolutionary changes to the overall design of the vehicle.
