Microsoft is adding LTE to the Surface Go in Canada

Microsoft expands Surface family with new Surface Go LTE Advanced model

At $679 is the consumer SKU: 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD storage, Windows 10 Home, and integrated LTE.

Microsoft has announced that pre-orders for LTE-enabled versions of its Surface Go tablet are now open.

Microsoft launched the Surface Go back in July, the smallest of its Surface range. The devices are reportedly available for pre-order now, with an expected release date of November 20. It's the latest iteration of the software company's Surface range, and along with LTE Advanced it also offers some of the highest specs for the tablet. The Surface Go Type Cover, Surface Mobile Mouse and Surface Pen are additional.

The same model will be priced at $729 for businesses, with Windows 10 Pro rather than Windows 10 Home in S Mode.

The company plans to officially release the Surface Go on 20 November in the U.S. and Canada, with the base model starting at $679 for consumers.

Surface Go with LTE will be available in both consumer and commercial channels, meaning it will be for sale in Microsoft's online Store, Microsoft brick-and mortar stores, select third-party stores and via authorized partners. But if you need a portable Windows 10 tablet that also converts into a laptop with the help of a keyboard dock, then the Go is the cheapest version you can get. The LTE option adds a fraction to the weight (0.02lb/10 grams) and equips the machine with a nano-SIM tray, GPS, and GLONASS positioning.
