The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner confirms to Yahoo Entertainment that the rapper died from mixed drug toxicity after finding fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol in his system. The rapper's death on September 7 was determined to have been an accidental overdose.

According to the investigator's report, McCormick's personal assistant discovered him unresponsive in his bedroom and called 911.

There was a 1/4-inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose, and there was blood coming out of one nostril. The star-studded event, benefitting The Mac Miller Circles Fund, featured performances from Anderson.Paak, Chance the Rapper, John Mayer, Miguel, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, and more.

Police found a rolled up $20 bill with white powdery residue in Miller's pocket, with a bottle of prescription pills in the bathroom and an empty bottle of alcohol on the nightstand.

Miller's death came just months after he split from Ariana Grande and weeks after he was charged with a DUI.

"That's why this is such a shock", the insider said of the night, People magazine reported.

"It is outrageous that Poisonous Synthetic Heroin Fentanyl comes pouring into the U.S. Postal System from China", he wrote on August 20.

Fentanyl, a powerful painkiller that tends to be cheaper and more potent than heroin, has played a major part in the USA's opioid crisis.
