Dez Bryant injury: WR suffers apparent Achilles tear at practice

Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant's comeback came to a screaming halt on Friday. I won't question the man upstairs. this is the ultimate test. thank you everyone for the prayers."Dez Bryant suffered an injury while practicing with the New Orleans Saints on Friday - and people are anxious it could be a torn Achilles tendon which would end his season".

A serious injury to Bryant, 30, could lead to the Saints taking a second look at veteran Brandon Marshall, who also worked out for the team this week.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced any details of Bryant's medical exam.

Dez Bryant spent training camp, preseason and more than half of the National Football League regular season waiting for a team to give him a shot to prove himself. "I won't question the man upstairs. this is the ultimate test. thank you everyone for the prayers".

Bryant said multiple times during the offseason that he wanted to play for a contender, which made New Orleans an easy choice for him. The surging Saints have won seven straight and last Sunday knocked off the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Rams. An Achilles injury would cause him to miss the rest of the year.

Bryant was originally planning to make his Saints debut in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it's up in the air whether he will play at all this season. There were other conversations, but it took Cameron Meredith's ongoing knee issues - Payton confirmed Meredith will have arthroscopic surgery - in order for something to happen.
