Pregnant Amy Schumer hospitalized with severe morning sickness during second trimester

The pregnant comedian, who is in her second trimester, posted a photo from her hospital bed while informing fans that she has been forced to cancel her Texas gig.

She is not alone in struggling with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (severe morning sickness) - Duchess Kate also suffered the condition during her three pregnancies. Mild cases are treated with dietary changes, rest, and antacids.

The "Trainwreck" and "I Feel Pretty" star said she's been suffering from a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum, which can cause severe morning sickness.

The 37-year-old comedian recently shared a sweet ultrasound image of her baby in order to encourage people to vote. I have been really looking forward to these shows. "Oh my God. See, it has so much energy, that's why I'm puking every day". And Texas I'm really really sorry, and I will be there as soon as I am better, ' Schumer wrote.

Earlier this month, Schumer told Entertainment Tonight her pregnancy had been "really tough" so far, but last week she posted video of herself responding to seeing her baby kick on a sonogram. In an Instagram Story supporting voting during the U.S. midterm elections, Schumer casually confirmed: "I'm pregnant".

Schumer announced her pregnancy in October, via her friend Jessica Yellin's Instagram account.

However, last week, she had an fantastic response to seeing her baby kick on a sonogram.
