Woman visits fiancé's grave on wedding day in her bridal gown

The volunteer firefighter was killed by an alleged drunk driver while helping a crash victim in Daviess County.

The Indiana woman was planning to marry her fiance, Kendall Murphy, on September 29, CBS4 reported.

He was reportedly killed by a drunk driver in November 2017 while helping a vehicle crash victim.

As he stepped out of his vehicle to get his protective clothing, Blake rear-ended another truck with is own, which moved forward and hit Kendall.

Jessica Padgett was going to marry the love of her life.

The driver, who was charged over the incident, was a volunteer firefighter from another department who was responding to the same crash.

Photographer Mandi Knepp, of Loving Life Photography, captured the day by shooting photos in typical bridal style: getting ready, standing with her bridal party, nieces and nephews, and parents.

The photographer - Loving Life Photography - took photos of Ms Padgett as she tearfully put on the wedding dress and did her makeup.

The heartbreaking photos were shared more than 16,000 times, and many people were touched by the emotional post.

"I wanted to be where he was at". The final stop was Murphy's grave.

In one photo showing Murphy photoshopped standing next to her, the photographer captions it: "She made broken look attractive and strong look invincible".

The Montgomery Fire Station and St. Peter Catholic Church helped "paint the town red" to honor Murphy.

His memory was honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on Sunday in Washington, D.C., the channel reported.
