Shea Patterson throws first Michigan TD against MSU since 2011

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh wasn't happy with Michigan State after the Wolverines' 21-7 victory on Saturday, and that should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed Harbaugh over the past couple of years: He's not typically a fan of Spartans coach Mark Dantonio. His 6-yard pass to Nico Collins broke a scoreless tie early in the second quarter and was Michigan's first touchdown throw against the Spartans since 2011. That gap stood through the final break. It's going to take a mammoth effort, but the Spartans have what it takes.

The Big 10 matchup has remained a low-scoring affair despite Michigan State's trickery.

Winovich, who had four tackles on the day, was of course referring to former MI running back Mike Hart, who called referred to MSU as "little brother" in 2007 when the Wolverines rallied from down 10 points to beat MSU at Spartan Stadium in Mark Dantonio's first season as head coach. The game time has yet to be decided.

The words that made the rivalry more intense. MI players remained on the field as the Spartans linked arms and went forward with their pregame ritual, and the ensuing contact between the two sides prompted MI linebacker Devin Bush to carve up the midfield logo with his cleats.

"Total bush league", MI coach Jim Harbaugh said.

"We came in here, I openly in public called it a revenge tour, called them out said they're next", Winovich said. Total bush league, and apparently coach Dantonio was five yards behind it all smiling.

Michigan: Off until hosting Penn State on November 3.

Dantonio disagreed with Harbaugh's assessment.

The Spartans (4-3, 2-2) struggled to move the ball, getting held to 94 yards and failing to convert any of its 12 third downs. "That's a dream game".
