Selena Gomez Reportedly Hospitalized After Having "Nervous Breakdown"

Selena was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA twice in the last two weeks to monitor her blood cell count, the website reports.

The 26-year-old pop singer recently entered a treatment facility to help address ongoing issues related to anxiety and depression, E!

Selena Gomez was trying to distance herself from the negativity of social media prior to her reported hospitalization for an emotional breakdown.

It's not the first time that Selena has been treated for mental health issues with DBT.

Last year, she underwent a kidney transplant, receiving the organ from best friend Francia Raisa after being diagnosed with lupus.

TMZ claims Selena tried to leave soon after she was admitted but doctors said she couldn't, which caused a "meltdown" and she "freaked out" and apparently tried to rip the IV lines out of her arm. The disease got so serious in 2017, that she had to have a kidney transplant.

Insiders revealed to People that Gomez had a "tough few weeks" and suffered a panic attack in the hospital.

She announced the news on social media in September 2017, writing of Raisa on Instagram, "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my lovely friend Francia Raisa". Another added, "I love her with my whole heart".

She took yet another self-enforced break from social media at the end of September, saying she wanted to step back and feel grateful "for the moment she'd been given".

She is now reportedly receiving treatment, including dialectical behavior therapy, at the same psychiatric facility.

In addition to still being anxious about her best friend, the source told Radar tonight, she is still reeling over ex-boyfriend Bieber's quickie engagement and marriage to Hailey Baldwin just months after their split. Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings.
