'The manufacturer will undoubtedly also be anxious about the trio of iPhone launches, which look set to win new fans in all areas of the market - having said that, an affordable but promising mid-tier showing from Samsung has the potential to upset the apple cart, ' he said. Or perhaps it just wanted to be the world's first four-camera smartphone. The front camera of the phone supports face unlock feature.

As far as specifications are concerned, Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels.

Samsung recently confirmed that it will be focusing more on the mid-range smartphone line up and will bring some features that are yet to debut in the flagship Galaxy S or Galaxy Note series. Putting two and two together and coming up four makes us fairly positive that the leaks are legitimate. Do you think Samsung will be able to pull it off?

And that's the Galaxy A9. Up front, the phone has a 24MP sensor that comes with f/2.0 aperture. In an email to HEXUS, Samsung said that the Galaxy A9 will become available in the United Kingdom from November priced at an RRP of £549.

Samsung launched on Thursday the Galaxy A9, its first smartphone that features 4 cameras in the rear, as well as the galaxy A7, its first phone to feature 3 cameras at the back.

For performance, the Galaxy A9 will rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of the base model. The four cameras on the rear consist of a main 24MP shooter (f/1.7) complemented by telephoto, ultra wide, and depth sensors. It has 16 individual lenses which offers 5x optical zoom with 52mp images using the software to take in data from all of the lenses into a single photo.

The Galaxy A9 will be available in three color options - Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and Bubblegum Pink - with sales set to kick off in select global markets from November. Samsung did not opt for a notched display on the A9 (2018) which means the South Korean company is yet to launch a smartphone with a notch.
