Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) price and release date

Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro

After a barrage of leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A9 has finally been announced and quite surprisingly, it features a quad-camera setup before such an upgrade was found on Samsung's flagship devices. The glass rear of the phone houses four cameras that are aligned vertically.

There's another new Samsung Galaxy phone trying to grab your attention and this one comes with a very unique feature. Let us know in the comments.

Next up, there's an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor that should improve the quality of your zoomed photographs, similar to the 2x optical zoom found on the iPhone Xs. The A9 is also packed to the brim with other interesting features. Apparently, the four-camera Samsung will feature a main sensor of 24MP, with F1.7, capable of great low-light performance. From the always-on display and fast charging to the fingerprint sensor, facial recognition, and headphone jack, the phone keeps up with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. Three colorways are available: Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and Bubblegum Pink, with the latter two presenting eye-catching Huawei-style gradient finishes. The handset is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo and Samsung's Experience UX.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) even outdoes some of its more powerful siblings with its 3,800mAh battery, which should deliver solid longevity given the processor choice and display resolution.

How much those four cameras are worth it to you will likely come down in price.

Samsung states that the Galaxy A9 will be available in select markets starting from November but did not care to divulge the pricing details right now. In Europe, it will start at €599 / £549 (between $700-$725), with the 8GB variant sure to be a little more.

The story is breaking and will be updated shortly...
