Rain chances & cooler temperatures for Thursday

Saturday’s First Warning Forecast Drier weather moves

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. Low: 51. Similar high temperatures are expected through the weekend.

There is going to be more dry time on Saturday with an isolated shower chance.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Cloudy skies and rain chances continue, with an overnight low of 49 degrees. The breezes increase too out of the northeast. High: 75. Wind: N 10-15 miles per hour. Tonight's low will be near 40.

Saturday is rainy, breezy and chilly. The better chance of rain arrives overnight and on Friday. It'll be turning very windy, though, with gusts perhaps pushing 40 miles per hour. Expect temperatures in the 40s at their peak. For Saturday, the sky will be occasionally cloudy, but mostly dry. Temperatures are quite cool, but a little higher, with readings in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

The umbrella is needed a little less early next week.

The clouds that invaded Thursday will remain through Sunday. There's the chance for a few showers. Early in the morning on Monday, before daybreak, a few wet flakes could even mix in before temperatures start to warm, especially to the west and northwest of Harrisburg.

MON/TUE: A little bit cooler on Monday under sunny skies, with highs in the upper 60s, then back into the 70s Tuesday with sunshine sticking around. Some patchy fog possible overnight. The high tomorrow afternoon will be in the low 60s for most communities. A band of showers and thunderstorms is likely late Thursday or Thursday night with a cold front passing through.
