President Trump has a Thursday lunch date with Kanye West

Kanye West went on an epic rant in front of President Donald Trump and reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday afternoon.

On Trump: "Let's stop worrying about the future; all we have is today". "Those in the music business say he's a genius, and that's okay with me".

Looking at Trump, he said, "You made a Superman cape for me. That's my favorite superhero". "That was quite something", Trump said.

"I think it's a shame what's happening in Chicago", Mr. Trump said.

Kanye West and Neil Portnow, the president of the Recording Academy, will both be present during the ceremonial signing of the Music Modernization Act.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, take part in the 95th Annual National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the Ellipse near the White House, in Washington on November 30, 2017.

But West, who's from Chicago, told Trump that this strategy is detrimental.

"It was from the soul, I just channeled it", Mr. West said. Also attending is former National Football League great Jim Brown, a civil rights leader who has met with Trump previously. Mr. Trump has blasted the Fed in the past over rising interest rates.

But the encounter veered into many more topics, majority having to do with the administration's accomplishments.

He continued, "What I need Saturday Night Live to improve on, or what I need the liberals to improve on - if he don't look good, we don't look good".

West also had some clarification about his mental health. "We solved one of the biggest problems". "He might not have thought he'd have a insane motherf-- like [me]" as an ally. He again floated the wild accusation that The New York Times actually wrote that anonymous op-ed themselves, saying there's a "very good chance" the Times made it up, although they "probably" didn't. West called the president's work on criminal justice reform (an issue close to wife Kim Kardashian's heart) "bravery". "I love this guy", West said.

West will have lunch with the President at the White House and meet with Kushner, according to White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders.

"Really, the reason why they imprisoned him is because he started doing positive for the community".

He showed the president a video on his phone of a plane powered by hydrogen, and suggested that Mr. Trump should fly in it. "So, there's theories that there's infinite amounts of universe, and there's alternate universe".
