Pixel Slate: first Images of Google’s new tablet leak

Google's Pixel 3 is of Course Following Apple's iPhone X Series Design Form Factor with a Noticeable Display Notch

If you want to hear all the latest news from Google, Express.co.uk will be at the event and will bring you every update live as it happens. However, even though not many leaks on this one have emerged online, we know something about it. So here's a quick breakdown.

We are noticing a lot of rumors and leaks about the next generation Pixel smartphones.

Apart from its slight redesign, we don't know what new features it might have.

However, Engadget citing some system apps suggest that the upcoming Pixel phone could run Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

How to watch the Google Pixel 3 event?

Before we get to the review, we should note that Unwire also unboxed the Pixel 3 XL and took photos of the process. Comparing the latest leaks of Pixel 3 XL with the retail boxing of its predecessor, there isn't any notable difference in the design. This is a smart display that is launching as Google's response to Amazon Echo Show.

The company is expected to unveil a new Chromebook tablet, dubbed the Pixel Slate, to compete with the likes of the Surface Pro and iPad Pro.

The renders of the Pixel Slate features dual front-facing speakers, a USB-C port and a fingerprint reader.

The Google Pixel 3 XL will of course be bigger, but the functionality and specifications of the two variants will be the same.

The last two models look to include a 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5-8200Y with a 3.9 GHz max turbo and 8GB of RAM and a Pixel Slate running an Intel Core i7-8500Y CPU and 16GB of RAM. So much so that the device is already selling in Hong Kong. There have been talks of a 4K display for the Pixelbook 2, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

And then, there are the little things.

The much-awaited Google's hardware event is finally here. Similar to Lenovo's Smart Display, the Google Home Hub will likely display information on the screen using Google's personal voice assistant. It showed a release date of October 9 - the same day as Google's upcoming event. For instance, the Google Home may go to an all-fabric-covered design, to match some of the look on the new Home Hub. The device will have a speaker on the back but don't expect it to produce high-quality sound at all.

We are also expecting a new and improved Chromecast from Google this year. Among them are the newer Chromecast with better wifi for game casting and Bluetooth connectivity, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL line of smartphones.
