Nokia 8110 4G ‘Banana Phone’ launched in India: Price, specs and more

The phone runs Android Oreo out of the box.

The Nokia 7.1 Plus could be another smartphone that could be launched at the event.

The device has two variants - one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and another packing 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The latest Nokia 3.1 Plus promises to deliver smooth performance, paired with a classic design, massive display, bigger battery and a good pair of cameras without burning a hole in your pocket. We also got a chance to use the smartphone a day before the launch and gave our first impressions as well.

"Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a 6" HD+ with 18:9 ratio. As mentioned above, the phone also ships with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 400GB. The phone weighs 180 grams which is largely due to the beefy 3500mAh battery it has underneath.

Packed with Google's intuitive software, and only the most essential apps loaded, the Nokia 7 Plus serves Android 9 Pie with no bloatware, skins UI changes or hidden processes eating up your battery life. Powered by 3,500 mAh battery, the phone is aimed at multimedia enthusiasts. It can even connect to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1 and Global Positioning System. The primary camera setup comprises one 12MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and the other lens is a 13MP sensor. The rear camera comes backed by a single soft LED flash, while the front camera relies on the screen flash option for low-light selfies. They look decent, but it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Redmi 6, which is the possibly the best camera phone under Rs 8,000. Launched initially at the company's event at Mobile World Congress this year, this feature phone is a modern take on the original Nokia 8110 and features the same legendary slider mechanism. And with the Nokia 3.1 Plus, the brand is looking to replicate the same success in the offline market. Coming to the pricing and availability, the new Nokia 3.1 Plus will go on sale starting October 19th for Rs 11,499.
